On le disait guide mystique, il nous revient en mode exorciste. De fait, « Absence » commence par une bonne tranche de flippe. Et ne se fait pas vraiment plus rassurant ensuite.

Il faudra cette fois prendre sur soi pour suivre Bobé Van Jézu durant ce parcours semé d'angoisses. Le genre qu'on ne pensait pas nourrir, pour lesquelles on ne trouve que les maux, pas les mots. Le souffle court, la bouche sèche, les entrailles nouées et les tympans cloués. Bobé manie l'art du cauchemar comme personne, sait les ressorts de l'absurde comme de la démence. Et convoque démons et fantômes pour une danse macabre étourdissante. Réunissant travaux inédits et exclusivités auxquels se mêlent d'étranges archives et de mystérieux ou confidentiels enregistrements poétiques, « Absence » se comprend en négatif : bruissant et craquant de toutes parts, ce mix semble complètement habité. Vivant ? Pas au sens où on l'entend habituellement. Vibrant ? Intensément. Puissant ? Amusez-vous à monter le son... mais alors gare au déferlement !

If I didn't write all this crap I'd probably do what Bobé Van Jézu does. Absence it's a fucking mix, an accurate sound selection from the underground, the kind of sounds that you find here. Between dark ambient and field recording the place is ;  sliding from deeper and deeper. Finally an icy feeling grabs the sweatiness, a mix be spine-chilling.....a success !
